I believe that therapy can be transformative and oftentimes a magical collaboration. If you are going through a challenging life transition, struggling in your relationships, suffering with stress, anxiety or depression, we can work together towards achieving your goals, increasing your insight, expanding your coping skills and bringing about the change you want to see in your life. I create a warm and welcoming environment and bring both empathy and humor to our collaboration. My therapeutic orientation is integrative, rooted in psychodynamic theory and encompassing other modalities based on each client’s unique needs and goals.
I enjoy working with individuals who are going through life transitions, whether it be adjusting to college, becoming a parent, ending a relationship, experiencing a loss, returning to the workforce or making a career shift. I offer support, understanding and insight in navigating the often bumpy road of making or experiencing any type of change.
I also like to specifically work with those going through adolescence - my experience in working with high schoolers encompassed a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, addiction, sexuality and gender identity. Furthermore, I work with couples struggling to connect as well as families going through difficulties and help them find improved ways of communicating with each other more effectively.
I moved here from Britain with my family in 2000. I have a background in business and design and have created and run several thriving companies. As a mother, a partner and a colleague, I have always been interested in what makes people tick and why we feel and behave as we do. Now as a therapist, I bring that same curiosity as well as compassion and humility to all my work.
Please reach out for a free 20-minute phone consultation if I sound like I may be a good fit for you, I look forward to talking with you.
