This workshop uses story-telling, experiential exercises, videos, small group exploration and large group discussion to explore themes of racism, prejudice, privilege and fear as they pertain to the therapy setting.
September 18 @ 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM: Suicide Risk Assessment and Intervention
When Judy and Sherry heard that there was a new requirement for suicide assessment and intervention, they wanted to create a class that they would sit through and learn usable, valuable information. They wanted to create a class that was chock full of information and would allow for participants to practice new skills.
This class will not be boring, and when you leave, you will feel confident in your ability to know how to keep your clients safe.

This experiential seminar will explore how Covid-19 affects therapists and clients in this holiday season, and how therapists might support themselves and each other through this ordinarily difficult time – under these extraordinary circumstances.
The seminar explored available resources, self-care tools and practices, the influence of family dynamics, boundary-setting, somatic and physical well-being as they relate to the holidays, the importance of connection, financial issues, and other topics introduced by the participants and facilitator.

Mindfulness offers tools for noticing what is arising, without judgment, and using that awareness to inform our responses, words and actions. Bringing mindfulness into telehealth is a valuable tool for both the deepening of the work, as well as offering various ways to manage the influx of current challenges.
