I am a Bay Area local with over 10 years of experience helping people, as a teacher, caregiver, mentor, and counselor. I’m also a sister, mother, daughter, ex-neuroscientist, compulsive journal writer, bicycler, and very slow reader. I have worked with people of all ages through difficult and exciting life changes, including trauma, disability, addiction, struggles in primary relationships, early parenthood, family conflict, caregiving, exploration of gender and sexuality, and more. I especially love working with couples, families, and people who feel out of place. I am deeply committed to social justice and honoring the differences that make us who we are.

Therapy needs to be safe. This can mean online, indoors, or out in the fresh air walking in a park. Neuroscience taught me that the brain and body are one, and tuning in to somatic (body) experience is one way I work - always finding the direction and pace of this work in collaboration with my client. I will find a path with you, work with the inner parts of you when they are in conflict, and help you to connect with others, in times of commitment, boredom, trouble, confusion, and celebration. If you wish to investigate a difficult past along the way, I will be with you. I will meet you exactly where you are, learn where you would love to be, and help you to find a way through; this is true whether you are 8, 18, or 80.
