Due to Covid-19, the face of therapy has changed, and there are a plethora of new challenges for both the client and therapist to overcome, such as increased anxiety, stress and even Zoom-fatigue. Mindfulness offers tools for noticing what is arising, without judgment, and using that awareness to inform our responses, words and actions. Bringing mindfulness into telehealth is a valuable tool for both the deepening of the work, as well as offering various ways to manage the influx of current challenges.

Some of the objectives of this talk included:

1. Define mindfulness, and how to use it as a framework to get unstuck from negative reactive cycles.

2. Describe the brain science as it supports a mindfulness practice.

3. Differentiate the three different ways to bring mindfulness into a telehealth session.
