Sometimes we come to a place in our lives where our previous ways of coping aren’t working for us anymore. Perhaps our anxiety or feelings of sadness have become overwhelming and our well-being has become impaired. We may be experiencing a major life transition such as marriage, birth of a child, divorce, a career change or becoming an empty nester. Often times stress related to professional and parenting demands or a traumatic experience affects our daily functioning and our ability to thrive.
In a warm, collaborative setting we will explore new ways to move through difficult times, develop greater self-awareness and improve relationships. My approach is rooted in Attachment and Cognitive Behavioral Theory, however I often integrate other methods, such as neuroscience, mindfulness and a strength based approach so as to individualize therapy to meet your goals. I have additional training in Maternal Mental Health in order to provide effective and thoughtful care for individuals, couples and families coping with postpartum depression and anxiety.
Lastly, I bring to my practice over a decade of experience as a CPA which allows for insight into the unique demands of similar professions. Supervised by Colette Bischer-Choate, LMFT #MFC 39065.
